Victoria Snazell is an artist based in Brighton, Sussex (UK).
After a period spent raising her family and teaching, she has critically re-engaged with her practice; using the experiences gained from this hiatus to inform the current subject matter she is working with. Family dynamics, power imbalances, issues of visibility, vulnerability, the aging body and humour all feed into her work, which can manifest as either painting or sculpture. She pays little attention to the distinctions made between image and object, as one often informs the other.
She graduated from Bath College of Art in the early ‘90s, where she was recipient of the Gane Travel Award and exhibited at the Royal Society of Sculptors. Snazell has exhibited nationally and has work in private collections.
